Oradea Fortress is a colossal structure that has been standing in the city of Oradea for over 1000 years. It is one of the most important pieces of medieval architecture in Transylvania and has a rich military, political and legal history. The fortress was built in the late 16th century and has seen many sieges from the Ottomans to the Turks.

The city of Oradea revolves around Union Square, or Piata Unirii as it is known locally. In addition to visiting the capital city of Bucharest, We also recommend spent time in the cities of Timisoara and Piata Unirii.The plaza serves as a welcoming hub for visitors and is surrounded by some of Oradea’s most recognizable landmarks. The historical buildings in the area have been beautifully complemented by the square’s recent modern renovations.

Explore the many landmarks there. The Moon Church, the Black Eagle Palace, and the Town Hall are three particularly eye-catching buildings because they showcase the best of Baroque, Art Nouveau, and modern architecture, respectively.

If you’re in Oradea, you must make Union Square your first stop. Take a stroll through the city’s historic district and take in the sights, sounds, and smells. You can also find a tram line that will take you all over the city and pass by some beautiful fountain displays that were a joy to see children and dogs enjoy.
